I had the pleasure of visiting Caesar's Cyclery yesterday where I got top quality service from Caesar Sr. I ended up purchasing a vintage 1970s Schwinn suburban after test riding 3 other commuter bikes of various ages and makes - I'm in love with my choice. With the bike that I chose being older, Caesar Sr. took the time to check the breaks and gears before making the purchase and riding out. He also hooked me up with a used helmet and took the time to adjust the fit for comfort and safety. I was happy to support his local family ran shop! Highly recommend.

I was a customer of Caesar's Cyclery recently when I was visiting from Arizona. Cesar Sr. helped me pick out a rental bicycle and spent time carefully adjusting the fit of my helmet and helping me get started. Caesar's is a great, family-run bicycle shop with helpful staff that cares about doing right by their customers and making them feel at home and setting them up for success on their two wheel adventures in Marin County. I recommend them highly!

Great local bike shop in San Anselmo, 2 generations of Cesar are friendly hood people, who will keep your bicycle on the road or help you find new wheels.

EDIT for response: Once again he blames the customer. How on earth can I strip a bolt that I never put a tool on? He is a fraud of a mechanic. Utterly useless mechanic (even for new bikes). I recently purchased a new bike from Caesar's. The next day, I noticed that the thru-axles on my brand new bike were partially stripped. I emailed the shop to ask for replacement axles and Caesar blamed me for the damage and insisted that I caused the damage and that I would have to pay for new axles. While I did remove the front axle to put the bike on my car (didn't notice it then since I just bought a new bike I've been saving up for!), I have never even brought a wrench close to the rear axle! How could I have stripped an axle that I have never even touched? (Picture attached) It really saddens me since I have saved up for awhile to afford the bike, and it already has damage that I didn't cause. What really pushed me over the edge and made me write this review, is that I went to change out my handlebars and found the bolts to be massively over-torqued. The stem says to tighten bolts to 5N-m and the bolts were actually tightened to at least 15 N-m. Now I can't trust anything else that Caesar's did to assemble the bike. What else has been done incorrectly? I guess I'll find out at some point. TLDR: Avoid Caesar's for new bikes AND for bike tune ups.

My bike tire went out and I stopped by caesars to get it fixed. He gave me so much knowledge about bicycles! How my dear should be adjusted, how full my tires should be, and totally transformed my bicycle! Thank you so much for fixing my tire and so much more!!
