Half the time, I've experienced kind employees who know how to act normal and professional. But the last couple times I went, the experience made me decide to just go to Golden Pliers down the street on 29th. Golden Pliers feels more welcoming. Community Cycling Center is if you don't mind bike-snob bros to talking down to you and being very rude, in general. Again, some of them are are fine. I'd like to see more women or non-binary ppl working there. But I suppose that's telling....

I've been to this shop for a good 6yrs at this point. Only once have I had a good experience. I only go for the spare parts. The mechanics and some of the other volunteers like to act passive aggressive towards "normies". They have this pretentious smugness about them. Been riding, racing, and working on bikes for 10yrs. Yet the want to act like they know more than me and are somehow better? Get out of here with that bs. Where is the humility? If you want used parts this place is still worth the time.

Fantastic local bike shop, new and used. Repair, new, and used quality parts, friendly people, and a good business to donate to,but if you want to donate a bike, there is a charge. Kids workshops and summer classes. Multiple locations. They sponsor great fundraising events all year.

This place is the best. They are incredibly helpful and skilled. They do a phenomenal job, go above and beyond, and are incredibly low priced. Brian checked out my daughter’s bike today — we brought it in for one thing - he fixed that in seconds and then optimized her bike in several ways, including a safety issue and an ergonomic adjustment. Couldn’t be happier with the care and help they provide!

I just left this "communtiy" cycling center feeling pretty crappy. I brought my 2 year old bike in for a quick tune up (check tires, chains... etc). 15 mins later this guy tells me he did the best he could, but when you have a cheap department store bike, parts don't last. My Shimano derailer was cheaply made and he said the part and repair would be worth more than my bike. He then ridiculed my zip ties that are attached to my basket and that my bike is probably worth like $125 dollars. All this was being said while others were waiting behind me. If you don't own an expensive bike, this isn't the place for you and he really made sure I knew that. I thought he would offer some help...since I came to repair shop, but he was done with me as a customer and that was that.
