I had been putting off going to the bike shop for a few months. First, I had a padlock stuck on a bike-lock cable that I wanted to use. Second, the tube in my front bike tire got a slow leak. And finally on Jan 3, 2025 when I wanted to use my bike for shopping, I found my back bike tire completely flat. So now my plan was to drop my bike off at Glenview Cycle and shop by car. I told the repairmen what I needed, which I thought was a large order, but not for them. They said to go shopping and I could return to pick up my bike on the way back. When I returned, they were mostly done. Rodney said I also needed a new rear tire and took the time to show me why. When he stretched my back tire (now off my bike) he showed me the tread was completely worn and threads appeared. Then he pulled a very small piece of glass out of a set of threads in my tire and put it on the counter. He said that this is likely what punctured my rear tube and since my tire was very worn down, another sharp object like this could get in and puncture my new tube. So I agreed. Since my bike tire had been discontinued, I would have to wait until they could order a similar replacement. In the meantime, I wanted to leave the shop with at least some paperwork, so that when I return I could prove that is my bike and know how much to pay. Rodney took the time to review my order with me and I thought it was fair for the value they put in: front tube replacement $10 for tube and $10 for labor; rear tube replacement $10 for tube and $10 for labor; rear tire replacement $25 labor included; and cut lock $5-fee waived thanks to my other orders; subtotal $65 + tax = $67.42 total. My family and I got sick over the weekend. I got a call on Jan 6 that my bike was ready. I called back and said I was sick and asked if it was okay if I pick it up Friday. Rodney said that was okay. When I returned on Jan 10 to pick up my bike, the process went smoothly. The repairmen didn’t need verification that was my bike and their fee matched what Rodney told me earlier, meaning they did not charge me a storage fee while I was sick. On my way out, Alan said that my bike chain is rusted and will have to be replaced soon. I replied that this session went well, so I intend to have that done at Glenview Cycle. He thanked me and I left. I rode my bike on Jan 30 and noticed no problems. Nor did my tires loose air the next day. The repairmen at Glenview Cycle did a good job.

Very knowledgeable and helpful with all things related to biking. i brought my ride for a tuneup and some upgrades and they took care of everything i asked for and more! I couldnt be happier with the professional service that was done in a timely manner. Will definitely be coming back for more work in the future!

This place is the best! We've gone in a few times for service and every time we walked in, we we're greeted in a friendly, welcoming manner. They know what they're doing here, the owner, Alan, and the crew are extremely knowledgeable. We decided to get an additional bike, and went with the frame recommended by Alan, and it's perfect. Great bike, great prices, friendly people, we're very happy. Thanks Alan!

Alan did a great job of replacing my rear wheel axle nuts. The chain tension is perefect and wheel is dead center (After heavy skidding ). The bike feels better than ever. Very fair pricing, outstanding service, and good vibes! 👍

Incredible store with incredible staff and owner. It's been a *lot* of years since I went to the store (for a repair and parts), because I moved to another state. But googled this store in a nostalgic moment, and was glad to see such great reviews. They are completely deserved.
