Excellent local bike shop. Highly recommend. I was in town for my wife’s conference and they had road bikes available for rent to ride the Greenways. First off: Great mechanics! How they made a vintage aluminum Trek with box rims and old school Shimano 105 components ride like a carbon Pinarello with Di2 electric shifting, I don’t know, but its clear their tuning and maintenance is exacting. The rims were so perfectly true, that the brakes were tuned to the tightest of tolerances. The shifting was as tight, smooth and crisp as you could wish for, that of felt like a brand new bike. The ride was completely quiet, chatter free, and actually blissful to ride. It’s clear they will not send you out carelessly on a marginally maintained machine. I watched the person (sorry I forget names) go through his pre-ride checklist like a navy pilot, hitting every punch I would expect. As far as friendliness, the shop has a cool neighborhood feel, the staff all friendly and laid back. I saw several locals come in and it was obvious they had good working relationships with them as regulars and I respected their rapport with them. Being a stranger to the city, they took the time to give me perfect guidance on routes based on my mileage goals and desires. They gave me good map explanations and simple and clear verbal queues for me to anticipate key junctures, etc., so that I hardly looked at my phone the whole ride. As far as the ride, the greenways along the river are pretty sweet so they are a great way to experience Nashville and get a partial or full day workout. They are a good blend of open, uncrowded pathways with more trafficked sightseeing stops in the downtown portions. Go out towards the dam and you’ll find sublime scenes of meadows and wildlife mixed with suburban parks, and there were a lot of healthy, fit young people out there doing their workouts, so Nashville seems like it sports a pretty healthy fitness community. Lots of runners and triathletes. If you are visiting Nashville and want to plan something between your day-drinking sessions, a day of cycling the greenways is a great thing to do, and this shop is definitely your hookup.

We bought 2 electric bikes from them. We had trouble with one of the brakes on one. Thinking it would be covered under the warranty, we asked them to fix it. They charged us to bleed the brake. It was not the amount of money ($30), but the fact that we spent a lot on the bikes. They obviously don’t care if they have customers. We will not go back. Don’t expect them to help you after your purchase.

Rented 2 bikes from Green Fleet. Bikes were wonderful (my partner has now found her perfect bike!) but the team at Green Fleet was even better. Super friendly, got us all set up, and helped us plan our route. We were all over Nashville and East Nashville. Great trails and great breweries!! Rental price was fantastic. We’ll absolutely rent here the next time we’re in town!! Thank you.

First off Mr. Business is just the sweetest, cutest, bestest boy in the world. If I could give more than five stars I would just for the shop kitty. Austin was amazing helping me pick out an e-bike. I will def return for future bicycle needs! And tell all my friends to go here.

These guys wanted to charge me a “consultation fee” in addition to the price of the parts for helping me choose the right parts for my build. Local bike shops think that it’s online retailers killing their businesses- it’s not. They shoot themselves in the foot when they alienate people who are passionate about the sport in favor of selling more e bikes or renting more cruisers or whatever. It’s happening all across the industry and it’s really a shame. EDIT: I wanted to add an update to this story. I did the research myself for my part selection. It took me, an amateur once-in-a-while bike mechanic, one measurement and 5-10 minutes online to figure this out. Very puzzling to me that they wanted to charge me for this trivial level of knowledge, considering I was very forthcoming about my intent to buy all of my parts at the store. Their loss, I guess?
