Bikes in perfect condition can be rented here. Much cheaper than the other places I've found. Just a few blocks away from Central Park. Safe to cycle from here to the park. Friendly folks. Their tandem bike doesn't have a cover over the bicycle chain, so beware that you'll likely get some grease on your pants. Bikes of all sizes, including for kids. Free helmets provided for the kids. 2 hours of cycling for 2 adults and 2 kids costed us around 50 US$. Credit cards accepted.

insider tip. The bikes are much cheaper than the rentals in Central Park. OK, not the newest but perfectly adequate for a trip. The bike path leads directly to Columbus and the park. The crew is nice and helpful.

Went in for a noise. Bottom bracket cups adjusted. Went to ride the bike a few days later, the center crankset bent. Something i didnt have when i took it in. Now i had to take it elsewhere because i dont trust them anymore. Bike rode worse than when i took it in. Update to the review.. Their response is incorrect. I took it in for a noise and we had agreed on a bottom bracket replacement for 70 dollars. I picked up the bike, I was told the bracket was adjusted. I was charged half of the agreed amount. After riding one single time, the gears jumped and found the crank was bent. Second update July 6/2023 The crank was stripped and bent! Had to buy a whole new crank and pay to have the old one that liberty cycles broke removed. Their 30 dollar repair cost me an extra 130. Not even a phone call.

The worst bike experience ever. The owner wanted to charge me to replace the brake while it just needed to tighten it.

I’m glad I rented a bike here while exploring the Central Park/midtown area. Great prices, helmet included, and the Specialized Crosstrail was clean and well-tuned. Friendly staff were quick and helpful.
