My wife and I are retirees living in northern Maine, and we have been biking for decades. Early in the spring of 2020, she convinced me to purchase a tandem, and we instantly loved it! We like to travel/tent and realized that tandem biking was the perfect fit for our type of vacationing. Unfortunately, at our age, steep hills can be a deal breaker, so we were limited to fairly flat terrain with a traditional tandem. After much research, we decided to purchase a GAPIDA XT10, but due to the pandemic, there were none available in the USA or Canada. On 8-25-2020, I contacted E-Bikes Ireland, who put me in contact with James, at New World eBikes in Gresham, OR. James, informed me that he had 13 e-tandems on a ship from Hungry to Oregon, and would hold one for us with a $300 deposit and ship it to Maine, when it arrived. We received our tandem in October of 2020, and have logged a 1000 miles on it during the past year. I give the Gepida XT10 tandem a full five star rating because it not only met our expectations, but exceeded them. We have found it to be just as competent on hard top surfaces as it is on the various Rails-To-Trails surfaces we've been on, and elevation is no longer a concern. We couldn't be happier with our new e-tandem. I would also like to give a five star rating to James, for his exceptional customer service, and attention to detail. I can truly say that I have never experienced any better customer service from any organization I have dealt with, bar none! Rest assured; James, at New World eBikes will do his utmost to make sure you are a happy and satisfied customer. A top quality product with exceptional customer service deserves a ten star rating!

James is great to work with. He gave us a great deal on our tandem ebike and has helped us with specialty setups post sale. I highly recommend working with him and New World, you can't go wrong.

James' reputation as a reliable purveyor of e-bikes extends to his latest venture into rentals. On a whim while in town for the weekend, we contacted James on a Thursday evening. Saturday morning he met us at his shop and set us up with two fantastic Bosch bikes made in Hungary. As his first renters, he went out of his way to provide helmets, purchase locks, and recommend a scenic and quiet route along the heights above the Columbia River Gorge. His exceptional knowledge and contagious enthusiasm made our experience a success while his reasonable rates will have us returning when next we're in town.

Wow!! I have owned a Gepida for two years with over 1,200 miles on it. Not a problem with it. I ride mostly to work 15 miles each way. With my e-bike I arrive to work with a good work out but not soaked with sweat for my 10 hour shift. At the end of the day and end of my ride home its a 3 mile hill and with my Gepida it's manageable. James and Kathleen are wonderful. If you are in need of an e-bike either near or far don't hesitate to contact them. Amazing bike, amazing service, and amazing people.
