I so appreciate Janet and Mel at RecumbentPDX. The experience of purchasing a recumbent tadpole trike included education (teaching me to ride safely and with confidence), patient listening and question answering, and allowing me to try things out over time. I love my trike and am grateful for the positive teaching and learning experience with Janet and Mel!

I purchased a trike from recumbent pdx. After a month my engine seized up on a trail. Mel tried to help us troubleshoot it on the phone, but nothing worked. We brought it to him the next Saturday and he replaced the engine at no cost for us. While the engine was replaced, Janet took us for a ride to Mt. Tabor on store catrikes. They made the long 5 hour drive down there a wonderful experience. My trike now functions like it should, and I would recommend Mel and Janet to anybody who is interested in purchasing a recumbent trike. They are honest and provide a great experience. Thank you Mel and Janet!

Recumbent PDX is a cool niche shop selling recumbent trikes. Specializing in catrike, Mel is a honest, no nonsense connoisseur of the brand. He has the answers you need regarding all thing recumbent trike. He has a huge selection and a wide open sales floor and repair shop for his customers. I’ve had the privilege of hanging out with him and Janet and appreciate every minute of my interactions.

I had not been on a bike in 20+ years due to mobility and propioception limitations. And then I decided to look into trikes and am so glad I did! My husband and I test drove eTrikes and picked mine up today. I’m so excited to explore on three wheels and enjoy a new to me outdoor activity in the PNW. Mel and Janet are wonderful to work with. They love what they do (and it shows!) and also love watching people get back out there on three wheels. As an added plus… I picked up my trike on my birthday and got to celebrate with Mel and Janet. They love what they do, and I’m so excited that I get to love what I ride.

Owners Janet and Mel, and Mechanic Paul help my wife and I through the process of learning about recumbent trikes, test riding several trikes and finalizing our selections. Sounds straight forward but in fact we took a couple of weeks and several extra test rides to make up our minds on just which model of Catrikes we choose. They were so generous with their time and patience. I can’t say enough about the service and special attention we got from them. I feel we gained not only fabulous trikes but friends.
