    This is the best bike shop I've ever interacted with. Period. I come from the land of many bike shops (Portland, OR) and Revolution in San Diego treated me better, faster, more chill, and with higher quality work than I've ever experienced before. In just the few days I was in the area, I rented a mountain bike from them and brought in a relative's bike for repair. The rental was smooth and easy, and they were very cool about the return time (traffic made us miss the 5pm cutoff). And my relative's bike repair came in UNDER what I was expecting. I would kill to have Revolution back home! The attached pic is of my rental Scott mountain bike out at Los Penasquitos.

    Bikes are all the same for a given manufacturer. The distinction is customer service and relationship. I visited countless bike shops and there is no better than Stephane at Revolution Bike Shop! A lot of bike shops near me in Orange County. But was happy to drive a good distance to work with Stephane in purchasing my new Cervelo R5 - and I couldn't be happier! Stephane was patient, thorough, and extremely knowledgeable in helping me decide which bike and the components to select! Highly recommended - the best!!!

    Awesome experience renting bikes! Quick and easy communication, great value prices for a 24 hour rental, and even accommodating with hotel drop off and pick up of bikes! We were provided bike helmets and a lock, and offered bike maps. Took an amazing 25 mile ride along the Bayshore Bikeway, highly recommend! Our ride included a stop at the historic Hotel Coronado, and an evening ferry ride back across the bay ($7).

    TL;DR - True old fashion above and beyond customer service by people who are good at what they do because they care about what they are doing and about you. One of a kind. I drive an hour plus round trip from downtown every time I come up here. And after the ordeal I had buying a bike from Canyon, consider myself very lucky to have them within reach. There are other good bike shops close by, but Peter and the Revolution team are exceptional, and in my experience there is no where that comes close. Need proof, read on... I purchased a Ultimate SLX road bike from Canyon beginning of September. It is now April and only yesterday I finally received the bike I paid for 7 months ago. The first bike had arrived with damage, and in the process of attempting to resolve the many issues between then and now I purchased 2 full bikes, returned 1, Canyon swapped 2 more damaged/blemished frames and 1 defective wheel. This was all just to buy 1 brand new full price bike. Summarizing these 7 months of a saga as a time consuming, costly, and frustrating experience is an understatement that we will settle on so you can hear about Revolution instead of being my Google review therapist. I first reached out to Revolution when the original bike arrived with both visible and suspected damage to ask their professional opinion on if the bike was safe to keep. If you are into bikes, you know Canyon sells a lot of them. And you also know they are direct to consumer, with local bike shops out of the equation. Most bike shops don't love that about the brand, and some will make you feel it if you bring your bike in. Peter, the service manager at Revolution did exactly the opposite. I couldn't have felt more enthusiastically welcomed. And it was lucky they were kind, as unknown to me at the time and to having nothing to do with Revolution, there were a dozen more round trips in my future before this would be resolved. But that did give me a lot of time and experience getting to know Peter and the team, and getting a real sense of the dedication they have to their customers. Two months and two bikes in, I was still dealing with the situation, suspecting additional issues with the frame and rear wheel. Communication with Canyon customer support was time consuming and imposed frequent compromises of attrition. I was at a breaking point and ready to return the bike to Canyon and start fresh with a different manufacturer - an opportunity a bike shop could have easily capitalized on to sell me something from their inventory. I went up to see Peter and consult. Instead of using the situation to make a sale, Peter offered to run point with Canyon and manage the situation on my behalf from that moment until it was resolved. Over the next months, Peter filed my warranty requests and managed the communication, ensuring all I needed to do as a customer was be patient and trust Revolution to move it forward with Canyon. And they easily earned that trust, treating my case as I would imagine they would their own. Despite the frustrating situation with shipping, quality control, and customer service, to Canyon's credit they stood by their product and replaced the damaged frame, and then again when the replacement had a cosmetic blemish. Luckily the Canyon folks that Peter communicated with also appreciated him and cared to get it right. But to me the real stars were Revolution who agreed to shoulder this project on my behalf, and did everything they could to get me on a bike, including offering things like a loaner wheel while mine went for warranty replacement or driving my bike down to their personal residence after-hours just to shorten my pick up. Peter and the team cared, stepped up for me, and treated me like a friend more than a customer. Thank you guys, above and beyond. And that to me is everything I want in a local bike shop. Bringing them on as an authorized service center is what Canyon got really right in all of this. If you are a Canyon customer, or just love your bike, bring it here. They will take care of you.
