I have an old bike that I ride every day to get to work and to get around, and I have always taken it to Rey's Bike Shop for repairs. I've been his customer since 2016, back when the shop was on Sunset. Rey knows a lot about bikes and he also has a good heart and has integrity. In my experience he's always does what's right for the customer, not what's convenient for himself or most profitable. I recently bought a new wheel from him that I didn't like, so I brought it back in two days later and he switched it out for a different one for no extra cost. He has helped keep my old beat-up bike in ridable condition for years. I highly recommend Rey for anyone looking for good service at reasonable prices.

Great shop with a really nice and very knowledgeable owner (Rey). I am 62 y/o woman who hadn’t attempted to try to ride a bike in 20 years. Rey assembled bike for me, (perfect and promptly), helped me get into trunk and advised me where I might safely ride. He expressed concern for my safety which was sweet. His prices are VERY good (low), turn around time is great and I felt good giving him my business because of his expertise and kindness. It’s not great for independent bicycle shops (and that’s true for most mom and pop small businesses) so it’s always good when you can find one that meets your needs. I highly recommend Rey’s bike shop for bike pros, young people, older folks — basically everyone. If you’re looking for a neighborhood bicycle shop where you can get have a relationship with the place, get work done on your bike (or purchase one) at a great price and quickly, Rey’s is your best bet. Do yourself a favor and go there. You’ll be happy.

This man is amazing. I have a 1989 Schwinn Roadbike I bought in NorCal in 2010 as an undergrad and adore my bike. After being run over by a car in 2017 , my front wheel, fork, handle bar, pedals and chain ring were unusable. While all other bike shops told me to give up on my beloved bike, Moises said it would be no problem and brought my bicycle back to life. He understood the bike is special to me and replaced all the damaged components with era equivalent pieces and to this day takes extremely good care of my bike. In order to accommodate for an electric wheel I added to my bicycle, he ensured that I have a steel fork strong enough for the torque. Bring your bike here. It is a small business and might lack a website or even proper recording of bike prices but Moises has been in the area for decades and works for the people of the neighborhood. Any gentrifiers that distrust him should know that they are the reason he had to move from Echo Park and should give Moises a chance as oppose to criticizing him. Paid $150 for a "tune-up" which was basically minor adjustments to brake pads, lubing the chain, and cleaning the bike. Didn't put air in the tires, or make necessary adjustments to the derailers. High price for subpar service IMO.
