Amazing customer service. Knowledgeable, friendly, professional and they get repair work done within the hour. That's why my whole family (wife, myself and my three boys) have Trek bikes.

So June of '20 is not an ideal time to buy a bike, b/c just about everyone else had the same idea and things are pretty picked over. But the stars aligned and this shop, the closest one to me, had exactly the gravel bike I wanted to try. Ron helped me out in the store, walked me through trading in my old carbon road bike, and I left a very happy customer. I'm thrilled to have purchased locally and have somewhere I can go nearby for maintenance. I'm still on a "new bike" high. As for the shop itself, I appreciated how they handled social distancing both when I went to look and when I came back to pick up the bike. Both trips, a Friday and Saturday, the shop was busy but there was a lot of staff around to help and answer people's questions. It's not the ordinary circumstance (hopefully), but they were doing everything in their power to help people while staying safe. Very impressive. If this is the shop experience in terrible times, I'm looking forward to coming back when things are a bit more normal. You might not get as lucky as I did in terms of the bike you're looking for but this is a great shop.

Staff was extremely helpful and friendly, fixed my bike in 24 hours. This location is always my first pick. Also purchased a quality pump while I was there. 10/10

My son and I came in on several occasions to purchase a bike good for the city and for trails. We bought the FX-1 in his preferred color-black! Outfitted with special tires, bike lock, tire locks, new helmet, water bottle holder, and pump, he is now ready to jaunt around Chicago. The staff--many who helped us both in the front with sales and the back with service--were all incredibly knowledgeable, patient with my son who is new to biking, and helpful with suggestions on how best to prevent theft in the downtown environment. I bought a Trek 20 years ago for a sprint distance triathalon and remembered the quality of the bikes. Inspired by his lightweight and smooth gears on my son's new FX-1, I pulled out my classic Trek and it's scheduled for a tune up and new tires as well. It still rides great after all these years. Could not recommend the product or this store and it's staff any higher. Thank you! (We may be back soon to upgrade! lol)

I worked with Malcolm, he was very knowledgeable and was giving great advice on self-servicing the bike after rides and a couple of different aspects of trail riding with mtb riding. He recommended some different accessories in store and some of the reasons why which made a lot sense to me and encouraged me to pick the accessories out the next time I come in. He was very friendly and patient with me and some of the questions that I had around service plans and other aspects that I wasn't really familiar with. The rest of the staff seemed to have the same type of attitude with helping other folks in the store while we were going over details. I would recommend if you were looking for any type of bike, the Downers Grove location is the place to go!
