I don't understand how you can call yourself a 'repair' man when it is obvious you have disdain for your customers. I walked in, looking for some missing bolts on my bike. The man 'helping' me spoke to me like I was a problem, and made the assumption that I wanted my bike fixed right then and there (which was not the case). I just wanted the missing bolts, and even said I was willing to buy and entire NEW part (just so I could get the hard to find replacement bolts). Overall he just seemed angry at me for showing up, and I don't think it's my job to try to convince him having my business is a good thing. In the end, I can't trust someone to treat my high end bike well if he acts like I am his enemy. Maybe he was having a bad day, but I will not go there again, totally a bad vibe.

The best bike shop around in Astoria. They're friendly and will help you out quickly. Most of the time they're doing repairs immediately and you only have to wait 10min or so. The price of their bike is not outrageous, I bought mine online but the shop price is almost identical. Lots of different tools inside if you need. If you pay cash you might get a small discount if you ask.

I have a minor problem with my chain, and I went in to ask if I could get it adjusted. The guy in the back looked at me with my bike (not even walking towards it/looking at it) and said he wouldn’t touch a bike like mine (it’s a very normal road bike). I asked why and he told me my chain was messed up and that I need a new one and to “be safe” walked away shaking his head/lowkey scoffing??? Anyways I brought it to Astoria Bike Shop right after (6 min bike ride, 11 min walk away) and the man behind the counter (who wasn’t even the main repair person) told me exactly what was wrong and what i needed to fix the bike, giving me a price estimate too. Go there instead!!! Also they charge for air. Wtf? If you want to keep local customers around, they’re not going to come to you!

Horrible/ seemingly racists service. It’s not my go to assumption however it was this time. Came in kindly asked for a quote for new + installation for inner tubs. $50 includes $10 service fee for each wheel. Expensive but reasonable. He told me 10 - 15 mins wait. “Okay great, Lets do it” 2 mins in another Spanish speaking customer came in and he immediately started serving them. I looked at him like 🤨 he told me It would be 20 - 30 mins. No clear logic: He said you didn’t let me know if you wanted the service and “after looking at your bike it would take extra time.” Mind you, I have a single speed fixi! A little frustrated at this point. But being very respectful holding in my frustration. Bc I work service as well so I understand days can be days. 3 mins after waiting and browsing he told me To wait outside on the bench in a manner like he wanted me to leave. Finally he got to my bike As he was serving my bike I then went outside. And after 10 min I peak inside and he’s standing around drinking coffee. When I buzz he kept the door locked and ignores me and leaves me outside for 7 mins. I watched for 10 more minutes waiting for him to open as he started working again. At this point i see he’s intent he has a lack of respect for black customers and doesn’t regard my time. It now 30 mins and ive been the only customer with a simple request. Not until another customer/ neighborhood friend comes does he decide to open the door. I step in and wait 5 more minutes and watch as the chat and lazy around. All in all he was disrespecting my time and money as a customer. When I received my bike he did not replace my tire caps and had attitude when I asked him for it. I thanked him and moved on. When I got outside I noticed he put my wheel on backwards so I had him filp it… and i went out and noticed Again forgot my tire caps. So I had to go back. WHAT NEEDED TO BE 10 min became almost 1 HOUR of my time. Definitely be aware bc they will try to steal your parts and not say a word. But if you need a tire cap they sell them for $2-$5 dollars back to you. And honestly Go to Brooklyn if you need your bike repaired. Many people cycle out there compared to Astoria and the customer service is a lot better. Unless you speak Spanish or are white they don’t care. I recently started noticing more and more bad reviews if the bike shops in Astoria and I see why. They are lazy and isolated here so they have no competition to improve. Tbh It might be hard but learning how to fix your own bike my save time and money.

I had a flat tire and I was Doordashing with my bike. I was in the Astoria area, so I took my bike to this store. The owner was like he didn’t want to do it and said that I could fix it. It was more expensive that the bike shop near my home. The second time I came here was the worst: I had a rusty cord that was a pet of the shifting system of the bike. I took it to this repair shop and the owner simply put the bike on gear 3 instead of replacing the cord. I struggled a lot to pedal the bike. This shop is an awful place and I would never go here again. Awful service that looks down on the customer and incompetent repair.
