Canyon Store and Sarah R, I just wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude to Sarah and Matt for the incredible experience I had purchasing my bike from your Carlsbad shop. From the moment I walked in, your kindness and sincerity in helping me find the right bike truly meant the world to me. You went above and beyond, even when it meant more work for you, and that level of care did not go unnoticed. I don’t fit the typical image of a cyclist, and as someone who only started riding in May 2024, this was a big step for me. I initially bought a 20-year-old bike just to see if I’d enjoy cycling—and I absolutely fell in love with it! I knew I needed to invest in a newer bike, and after months of researching different manufacturers, I decided on Canyon. My experience with your team reassured me that I made the right choice. Thank you again for your support, patience, and expertise. I’m beyond excited for this next chapter of my cycling journey, and I’m so grateful to have started it with Canyon!

    Extremely Disappointed with Canyon’s Service I received a damaged bike from Canyon, and they have not provided a reasonable solution. I contacted their support team just two days after receiving the bike and sent photos showing the damaged package. Beyond the damaged box, the cockpit was scratched and incorrectly installed, the frame was stuck, causing additional damage, and the rear tire arrived flat and damaged. It took Canyon three weeks to respond to my service request, only to offer a return option and a 10% discount on the same bike. This is even less than the discount I originally received, which also included free shipping. Additionally, they expect me to disassemble and repack the damaged bike myself and pay upfront for a new bike. They’ve stated they will only refund me for the first bike after it is returned, inspected, and processed—which will take at least 2-3 weeks. This means I’d be out over $7,500 while they process the return—money I shouldn’t have to invest due to their mistake. They also initially offered a gear reimbursement, but now they claim this was only valid if I kept the damaged bike. Who in their right mind would accept $200 worth of gear for a cracked carbon frame, scratched cockpit, and damaged tire? I absolutely do not recommend ordering from Canyon. Support your local bike shop instead.

    I first visited Canyon Carlsbad without an appointment, completely new to Canyon and road bikes, and with no intention of purchasing. Despite this, Matt was incredibly patient and made me feel comfortable as a beginner. He took the time to walk me through several beginner-friendly options, let me try different sizes, and helped me find the perfect fit. His knowledge and kindness made the whole experience welcoming and stress-free. After my visit, I felt so confident in my choice that I ended up purchasing a bike—and my husband did too! When we returned for our New Bike Day, Matt was there once again, ensuring everything went smoothly. He even went the extra mile to remove all the labels and stickers from our bikes and shared helpful tips to get us started on our cycling journey.     A great opportunity to see most of Canyon's latest bikes. They also have a lot of bikes for test rides. Not every single model in every size, but I was able to run very similar bikes in each size so I am confident that I ordered the best size for me.Very knowledgeable staff. Some variety of terrain on their test drive course, but no steep climbs, and no rocks or gravel. Not perfect, but a really good opportunity to get close to your bike before making a purchase. You have to purchase online and the bike must be delivered to your home. This is a demo site with no sales or service capability. (The photos are of the size Small Grail:ON 8 Demo Ride Bike, perhaps an XS Grail Demo Ride Bikes (with no motor), and the lighter-colored Grail:ON Display Bike.

    It was a great experience buying my Gen 4 Aeroad. Matt Shibel and Gavin Parnes helped me through out my purchase experience. Professionals and very courteous staff. Highly recommended. New bike day was well worth it. Matt and Gavin took their time to fit me with my new Aeroad. They made it easy for the transition from my 2022 Madone to the Aeroad. Thank you again, Matt and Gavin.
