The attention to detail was impressive, and the bike rides smoother than ever. On top of that, the owner was incredibly friendly and made the whole process easy and enjoyable. The customer service was top-notch, and the repair was done quickly. I highly recommend Johnny Sprockets for anyone needing bike repairs or maintenance!

This bike has been my favorite bike shop in Chicago since Aug of 2018. I have purchased two bikes from here; the 2018 Specialized Allez and the 2020 Specialized Allez Sprint Disc. Both have been very soilid bikes since day one. The black Allez has over 8000 miles and still runs beautiful. My red Allez Sprint has over 4000 miles and is such a machine on the roads. I've been coming here for tune ups and any services I couldn't do myself. A big example was a bike crash assessment they did for my red Allez Sprint after a bad crash that broke my left collarbone. They repaired it within a week and it's felt like the bike I knew from day one of owning it. Love this shop. Love the team. And I will be back for more tune ups and services and another road bike in the future.

I had two pretty irritating experiences here. The first, I thought was a fluke. The second realized it was just a bad business. Just don't go here... My first experience: I went in to just get some chain grease. I stood in the middle of the store for a couple minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. Finally a women, who I am now learning based on others bad experiences, is named Trish, came out and asked if I needed help (as if me standing in the middle of the store waiting, didn't need help) I asked for some chain grease which is kept behind the check out counter and she acted as if this was the most outlandish request ever. When I asked to look more closely at there options, she scoffed before handing them over for me to look at. STIKE ONE. I then went in a few days later to have them take a look at my rear derailleur. I was hoping that this would be a better experience. It was not. I dropped off the bike and was told it should be done by the end of the day. I waited all day with no updated. Finally at around 7:30pm I got a call saying I would need to replace the derailleur-- thats fine. I expected that. I was also told that I needed to replace my back wheel but whoever I was talking to on the phone (a man) wouldn't/couldn't tell me what was wrong with it. He told me it needed to be replaced and it would be a couple hundred dollars. I was surprised by this because I've ridden the bike for years and have NEVER had issues with the wheels. It felt a bit odd but I trusted the opinion. I (again) shouldn't have. I figured if the bike was going to be in the shop for some time, I may as well get a tune up at the same time. But when I asked, the man on the phone scoffed at me (I guess its in the training that this is good practice?) and said he didn't "feel comfortable doing work on the bike because its in rough shape." I was pretty shocked by this. Not only have I never heard someone say they didn't "feel comfortable" working on the bike, but it also is far from rough shape. All thats to say that I went back the next day and picked up the bike before they did any work. I took it to a different bike shop and was told there was definitely nothing wrong with the wheels and that they could replace the derailleur AND do a tune up, no problem! Anyway, don't waist your time or energy. They aren't nice. They aren't good at there jobs. Its not worth it. Quite a shame.

The folks here were helpful in finding fenders for my bike, fair prices, and fast turnaround.

I bought a bike from them in December and a few weeks later my front wheel started making a clicking sound. I took the bike to them to submit a warranty claim and they told me to buy a new rotor and see if the sound would go away. The guy working in the store was extremely unprofessional and clearly did not want to help me at all. Highly recommend you avoid doing any business with this bike shop, especially if you're working with the guy. P.S. I ended up submitting my warranty claim successfully through another bike shop in the city.
