It is important to note that customer reviews present a significantly mixed view of Advanced Cycles Orlando, FL. Specifically:

  • Some customers have reported positive experiences with the shop's inventory and the owner's knowledge.
  • However, other customers have expressed extreme dissatisfaction with the quality of bikes purchased, reporting recurring issues like chains falling off and improperly set up components.
  • There are serious concerns about the shop's repair attempts, with claims that they worsened existing problems.
  • Customers have reported feeling dismissed and unwelcome when returning bikes for repairs or adjustments.
  • There are complaints about a lack of attention to detail during the initial bike setup, leading to subsequent issues.
  • One customer reported that another bike shop found issues with spokes not being tensioned correctly, which caused the bike to not track straight.
  • There are recommendations for improved customer service training for technicians and better quality control during bike setup.

Due to the conflicting and strongly negative customer experiences, potential customers are advised to exercise caution and consider these reviews thoroughly before engaging with Advanced Cycles Orlando, FL. While the shop may have a good inventory and knowledgeable owner, there are significant concerns regarding bike quality and post-purchase customer service that should be taken into account.

Where do I start if I could give zero stars I would. $850 on what should be a quality bicycle is nothing but junk. The chain has fallen off the front sprocket for different times the crew at advanced cycles thought at first that the front sprocket was bent and tried to straighten it, causing nothing but further issues then put bottom bracket on the bicycle. I did not purchase a Frankenstein bicycle with different parts. I purchased a new bicycle and expected to work as so as expected, but I didn't get anything close to expectation with specialized and advanced cycles. Nothing here, but disappointments. Even after receiving a replacement bicycle, I continue to have the same issue with the chain falling off the front sprocket buyers beware save your hard earned money. Do not spend it here rather yet you will receive the same quality at Walmart target or any of your other discount stores stay far away from advanced cycles, there's nothing advanced about it.

Overall a really nice bike shop with a great inventory to choose from. The owner is very knowledgeable. The reason I give it three stars is because of how I was treated after purchasing the bike. I brought it back the next day after realizing a few things were not set up correctly, and the bike wasn’t tracking straight. When I told the technician my concerns, he looked at me like I was dumb, and his body language made me feel unwelcome. He didn’t seem very happy to be helping me set the bike up properly, which should have been done in the first place when I bought it. The owner also didn’t seem interested in my presence (unlike the day before when I was potentially buying a bike). After the technician worked on my bike, I noticed the issues hadn’t been fixed. I ended up bringing it to a different shop (Orange Cycles) to get it set up properly. They found that the bike spokes were not tensioned properly, which was causing the issue I was noticing. They fixed it for me, and now the bike rides great. I would suggest some customer service training for the technicians at the shop, and I would recommend revamped training on setting up bikes properly before handing them over to a cyclist. I think a few tweaks could get the shop up to five stars but for now, three stars.

My husband and I were at the store on a Monday morning and we were attended by Eric, if I remember correctly, that was his name. He was super attentive and explained several things to us, patiently answered our barrage of questions and after a lot of talking, we decided which bike we wanted. I really liked the negotiation and the amount of items in their stock even in difficult times of parts replacement. They offered us eternal maintenance service for the bikes we bought and we were very pleased with that. I hope it really works as expected.

I’ve been a cyclist for 11 years, visiting many bike stores. I’ve had 5-6 bikes. I bought a bike here at AdvancedCycles and the experience was stellar. They were professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. The owner was the one who welcomed me at the store and was with me throughout the entire purchase. I 100% would recommend this store to anyone looking to buy a bike. The prices are fair and competitive.

I recently purchased a new saddle from Lucas at Advanced Cycling. They took the time to fit me properly and allowed me to use it on a 120 mile ride with their club two days later. If I didn't like it I could bring it back. This is a top of the line 3D printed saddle and was not cheap. I am an experienced road cyclist but at 63 I was probably one of the older riders in the group. Lucas and his team didn't drop anyone and were thoroughly prepared for this long ride with 27 riders. 120 miles, no flats, no accidents and we averaged 20.5 mph for the ride. If you are looking for a new bike, accessories or training help in Orlando, Advanced Cycling is the place to visit.
