  I have been going to Igor since he opened up shop on Broadway at Catalpa. He and his team have been excellent. They have worked on several of my bikes and Igor helped me find an awesome used bike for a friend at a great price. If you haven’t been in lately, they reorganized and made it a lot more spacious, with lots of cool new bike goodies. They’re having a 1 year celebration party on Feb 2, 2025 which looks like it’ll be a blast. I’ll include a pic of the sweet Trek hybrid I had fixed up at their shop for my friend. Thanks Igor and team for being my new favorite shop on the north side!

  I've been living on the Northside since 2019 and have visited several bike shops in the area. While I appreciate them all, none compare to Igor's Bike Shop. Igor has been a cornerstone of our community even before 2019, starting his venture small and growing through referrals. I didn't start using Igor's services until he opened his shop around a year ago, and now I can't imagine going anywhere else! Igor and his team have tuned up my bike twice, and each time, their service has been both fast and thorough. I was genuinely impressed by how detailed their explanations were regarding the work done. Not to mention, their prices are unbeatable. I've recommended Igor's shop to family and close friends, something I only do after having multiple positive experiences myself. Beyond just providing excellent service, Igor is a true pillar of our neighborhood, often hosting community events and going above and beyond for his customers. What more could you ask for from a local business? I truly can't say enough good things about Igor and his team. A wholehearted 100/10 recommend for anyone in need of bike services!

  If you need a shop close to the lake Igor Does My Bike in edgewater is my number 1 option. I bought my first ever super expensive bike here (1000+). The mechanic and sales person who helped me named Pete is an older gentleman very soft spoken and overall a kind guy. He led me through the cheaper options first (they specialize in used bikes) which i actually thought was nice because im not a typical patron of expensive bikes. I dont look like a cyclist in my opinion i dont wear speedies or anything and im pretty sure i was even wearing pajama’s when i came in. For context i worked at a different bike shop ‘Heritage Bikes & Coffee’ they sell as i would call fast fashion bikes. The mechanics are still lovely but its more expensive and the owner doesnt care about the demographic or the bikes he sends out to the public at all. Or in fact his employees. I ended up coming back to Igor’s shop to sell a bike i had built up and got it for exactly what i wanted. I also ended up asking Igor himself this time if he was willing to have me come in one day a week to teach me how to work on bikes and learn how to do such. He said yes! Around a week or two later be texted me offering me a job! The interview with him and his wife was amazing and they have only treated me with respect. So yes i do work here now but i have never been so embraced into a male dominated position like this. I am learning all about bikes how to sell them. How to fix them. AND GET PAID TO DO IT! When it comes to the owner Igor he is a kind family man who just loves bikes. On my second week Igor looked at me without any precedent and asked my pronouns (i use they) and am a lesbian as well. We had a dialogue about how i wanted to be referred to in the shop. And we talked about the significance of woman needing to be in the bike space and why im choosing to use she while at work ❤️💕🌞 Not to mention Igor speaks 3 languages fluently Is an immigrant himself. And treats everyone with equal respect If you are looking for a shop who respects EVERYONE. Who values education and community and affordable pricing and service? COME TO IGOR DOES MY BIKE!!!

  Fabulous customer service and very quick. Completely fixed my 40 year old Italian bike; looks great and everything works. Very reasonable pricing as well. Would recommend them very highly

  Took my bike in. Hadn't had any work done in a few years. Got quoted that I thought was a little more than I wanted to pay but like I said it hadn't been serviced in many years. Now it rides like it was brand new. Excellent work done that was worth every penny. Staff is friendly, competent and not snobby. This is my new place to get my bike fixed. Highly recommended. Bonus! They even put new handlebar grips on at no cost.
