My fiancé and I came to the shop looking for a new bike, and we were SO impressed by the kindness and care we received. Both of us were decently uneducated regarding the biking world, and the owner of the shop took the time to help us choose a bike, give it a true-up, give us general advice/instructions on maintenance, and provide us with his story about opening up the shop. He was thorough, kind, and generous to us. They also have meetings teaching people how to upkeep their bikes, and we are very excited to attend the next one. We would recommend this shop to anyone who is interested in getting or maintaining a bike. The people and service are absolutely excellent, as is their mission.

Christian took great care of us! It was a busy day in the shop, but he still accommodated us for a walk-in tune up and installed a rather pesky child carrier with same-day service. He was very honest regarding the condition of my old bike. I was prepared to buy a new one, but he said a tune up was all that was needed--he could have easily made a sale! He even gave us a hefty discount on top of the fabulous, expedited service. Highly recommend this shop. We will be back!

I’m a novice indoor cycler and I came into Velocity looking for some indoor cycling shoes because I’ve been using sneakers for the past year. I was a bit intimated heading into the shop because I don’t know much about cycling, but Christian put me at ease immediately. He offered the most welcoming, kind, and thoughtful assistance. He had me try on some shoes he had available, talked about the type of cleats I’d need, and mentioned that I’d probably prefer a pair of shoes that I could also walk around in a good bit. Once I found a pair of shoes that fit and suited my needs, he got them set up with SPD cleats. I walked out of there with literally everything I needed - my shoes, a cycling education, and a nice friendly chat - for $30. If I ever decide to take up outdoor cycling this is the first place I’d come to, no question! Thank you so much!

I come to Velocity for all my bike related needs (purchase, maintenance/repairs, and donations). Just brought in an abandoned kids bike for some major help. Christian did an amazing job getting that bike back to “better than new”, within 2 days of my having dropped the bike off, at a significantly lower cost than I thought. Very very happy with the quality of the the job that was done, as well as the customer service. 5 stars!!!

In short, this was by far the best experience I have ever had at a bike mechanic shop. Background: I have been an avid biker for 7 years and have owned bikes my whole life. I have spent dozens of hours and thousands of dollars repairing my own bikes and have found it enjoyable and therapeutic, but being self taught through youtube videos and bike forums can only get you so far. I also recently moved to the area and finding a local bike shop was a priority for me anyways, so I went to Velocity to get some advice and help adjusting my bike. While at this shop, the cofounder and owner Christian, took the time to show me the changes he was making that I struggled to figure out, explaining the process and reasoning, showing me tips on the best way to keep my bike well tuned. Additionally, both Christian and Doc were both great conversationalists and it was super easy to lose time in there. They are knowledgeable, reasonably priced (lower cost than expected for sure), and enjoyable to work with, instantly giving that familiar feeling when going to a local bike shop. A huge bonus with working with Velocity is that they are a non-profit and do community outreach events, sharing the love of biking with those in the community that may not have the same opportunities that others have had when growing up. While I live in driving distance of this bike shop, there will be no other bike shop I go to. 10/10 Experience 10/10 Bike Shop
