I'm really excited to get to write this review because I finally feel like I've found a bike shop that truly understands me. For some context, I was an early-ish adopter of the first line of D2C eBikes from Rad Power Bikes - I had purchased a RadRover off their Indiegogo run. I bought with the intent of commuting from Ballard to Downtown, but after about 115 miles and a very scary incident on the Ballard Bridge, I thought this just wasn't for me. I didn't touch that bike for about 10 years. Last Friday, I walked into Amped Adventure because I was curious about maybe getting back on a bike to commute the 2.5 miles from my house to the Light Rail. I considered it a low chance, but I had some free time. Baker helped me out and showed me a variety of bikes from Aventon, Lectric, and then AIMA walking me through the pros and cons of each. I had a lot of questions and he and the rest of the folks there were more than happy to help me. I took extensive test rides on all of them and found that the eBike technology had dramatically improved - better motors, torque sensors, slimmer batteries, better lighting etc. The bikes themselves just felt safer and more maneuverable and all of a sudden getting back on a bike didn't feel so scary. I went back the next day and bought a Black AIMA Santa Monica because I loved the style and the features. Baker suggested a mirror and suspension seat post to help with comfort, all of which I took him up on. They even happened to have it in stock which was such a surprise and delight. It was ready to ride the next day (Sunday) and my son and I took it for a ride on the Burke Gilman. I've put 20 miles on in less than two days riding around the neighborhood, running errands, and I can't get enough! The bike is perfect for my needs, has ample power for hills, and I feel comfortable knowing that a bike shop 10 minutes away is here to back me up if I have any issues. Big big thanks to Baker and the whole Amped Adventure team for getting me back on a bike and getting back outside!

I picked up a friend's scooter -- that had a flat tire repaired but it was just repaired a few months prior. He has a second scooter he was using and put this one away until the second one needed to be repaired. They wanted to charge $82 for the tire repair but I told them it wasn't used (all explained before the drop-off). I asked if they keep track of the mileage, which would prove it. Then some guy from behind, sitting in an office, inserted himself into the conversation. He kept saying, "that's stupid". The owner shut the curtain on him and told me to ignore him. He just kept repeating the same thing, like a parrot. I had the impression that he finds most subjects or problems "stupid" if it's beyond one's IQ. I really wanted to tell him: "It's better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt." There's a reason why scooters have an odometer: to keep track of maintenance, warranties, resale, etc. My friend put 900+ miles on his new scooter in just 4 months. He had no idea until the brakes failed; without monitoring the odometer or the manufacturer's maintenance schedule. The owner was really nice and diplomatic. They do an excellent job of fixing scooters and bikes. He honored their warranty.

Had my Kugookirin g3 scooter serviced here -- flat tire changed with one I ordered from manufacturer, brake pads changed with ones I ordered from manufacturer, some wiring fixed up related to my motor still going while braking, a problem they found and told me it was good to have fixed but not necessary (also they gave me the additional cost before fixing it), general tune up. Had a really good experience, they were professional , kind, and very communicative, and the price was incredibly reasonable. Definitely going to keep coming back here.

Amped Adventure had a good choice of Adventon bikes to test ride and the guys in the shop were super helpful and could answer all our questions. They gave us multiple options to build the bikes that we wanted. They listened, they suggested, and they delivered. We were very pleased and would highly recommend this bike shop. Baker was particularly knowledgeable.
