The Elyria Bicycle Center was founded about 7 years by Ed Stewart and some other bicycle enthusiasts. They started out across the street in a very small space and then had the opportunity to buy the former hardware store owned by Phil Stamitti for decades. This place is staffed by all volunteers. I was walking around my old neighborhood and stopped in to see their new digs. Talk about a well organized place! Around 300 bikes in the back to be worked on. Probably 40 in the front showroom for sale at very reasonable prices. All the bike parts were well organized and stored in the back. I am a bike enthusiast for 7 decades and recognize the good work these folks are doing.

I brought my bicycle into Elyria Bicycle Center for a potential gear shifter problem. Erica said it would be about 2 weeks before the bicycle would be repaired. I mentioned that I sold the bicycle, but would let the buyer know of the delay. 2 hours later I got a call from Eric stating the bicycle repairs were done. That is great customer service and the cost was very reasonable. Thanks Erica. I would recommend highly the Elyria Bicycle Center.

This place is AMAZING! Nice convenient location! They have alot of bikes to choose from and The Staff are Awesome! Ed was so patient, kind, and knowledgeable...helped my friend pick a bike out and test drive it outside (raised up the seat & showed him how, too)...helped get him find a bag to carry things (& put it on) and a lock. He helped us change the code on the lock....I forgot to check on a headlight & taillight but know they will be able to help...Ed asked all the right questions to get Tommy what "he" needed... Prices are good! They take credit cards. Highly recommend this place!

The best bicycle center in Cleveland! Thorough, professional, kind and down to earth! I purchased an adult bike and a children’s trailer and I love them both! I highly recommend them!

Great place. Nice people. This is an all volunteer organization. They only have used bicycles and repair them as well
