They have used bike sales on Saturdays, weather permitting, and fascinating taxidermy in between the bikes and bike accessories. Staff were happy to help with sizing and even set up a potential order as we didn't find the bike we were aiming for.

BEST BIKE SHOP! I needed a tune on my new bike asap. They got me in first thing. Replaced pedals, sawed my dropper post, put air in both tires, greased chain all in the matter of 15 mins. Amazing job on my bike!

I bought a bike at Mad Dog 7 or so years ago. First-time buyer as an adult. I ended up getting something that didn’t suit me well. It was my fault as I wasn’t sure what I wanted. Although it seemed to be against their policy to take it back, they did. Which I really appreciate as I was able to eventually find a bike that suited me well; albeit, from a different shop. But obviously not for bad reasons!

An excellent bike shop for anyone in the Capital Region. I called shortly after they opened and was answered in seconds. The guys here are knowledgeable about their products and excited to share that information with their customers! They were able to match me with a bike that was slightly cheaper and more suited to my needs than the one I initially was interested in, making my first venture into cycling a pleasurable, easy experience.

I got a couple of really nice bikes from a friend (thanks Ed!) for the little girls. one of them had a little problem from not being ridden for some time. I went to Mad Dog Bikes to buy the special tools I needed to try and fix it. Matt told me to just bring the wheel in and he would loosen the lock nut so I wouldn't have to buy the tools. he gave me a little free advice. he did mention if his advice didn't work, I'd have to replace the hub and gear cluster because they don't make that particular free hub anymore. ($75 to $80 - still totally worth it, it's a great bike!) Matt wishes me luck and sent me on my way. I took apart the axle and bearings and pulled off the free hub. I followed his suggestions, and got everything working beautifully. after putting the parts back together, I took both bikes back to the shop to get them tuned and adjusted. 100 bucks to make both bikes look and work like brand new was money extremely well spent, not to mention the free advice that they happily gave that cost them (and saved me!) a 75 dollar repair. If you need a bike, or have one that needs repair, this shop is well worth the visit!
