As a “Bicycle Shops Near Me” option, Mini Mall has received mixed reviews from customers. While some appreciate the knowledgeable service, others have reported significant issues with service speed and pricing.

Here’s what Mini Mall offers, based on available information:

  • Bike Repairs: Including chain replacements and other general repairs.
  • Beach Cruiser Services: They specialize in beach cruiser bikes.

However, customer reviews highlight the following concerns:

  • Slow Service: Customers report extended wait times for simple repairs.
  • High Prices: Some customers feel the pricing is excessive for basic services.
  • Inconsistent Service: There are reports of inconsistent service quality and customer interactions.
  • Limited Bike Expertise: Some customers suggest the shop primarily caters to tourists and beach cruiser owners, potentially lacking expertise in other bike types.
  • Rude Behavior: Some customers describe the owner’s behavior as rude and unprofessional.

Customer reviews paint a mixed picture. One customer described multiple negative experiences, including lengthy delays for simple repairs and excessive pricing. They also reported rude behavior from the owner. Another customer acknowledged the shop’s less-than-ideal appearance and slow service but appreciated Johnny’s knowledge and explanations.

Due to the mixed reviews and reported concerns, it is advisable to exercise caution when considering Mini Mall for bike repairs or service. Customers may want to seek alternative bike shops in the area for faster and more professional service, particularly for non-beach cruiser bikes.

Fist, not to sound too cliche, I never usually leave negative reviews. I always give the benefit of the doubt that I may of just had some bad luck and an anomaly of an experience. Well I have been to this place 3 times, only due to convenience (very close). The first 2 times was for my daughters beach cruiser bike (it needed a chain put on and I had broke my chain tool). So I took them there, and as all posts state, it took 3 days, to put on a chain, a bike chain, on a bike.... 3 days. This shop is the worst. I do my own work on my bikes but when stripping down my bike I realized I didn't have a pedal wrench to take my pedal bars off. I called, he was out on a test ride, so the lady said bring it down. I did exactly that, except I sent my wife instead. She had to wait 20 minutes while he walked around his gardening shop, then helped someone else, then finally (rudely I might add) yelled from in his shop if my wife had a question. She told him that I needed the peddle bars taken off (which is about a 2 minute process since I had everything taken apart). He said he couldn't do it right then, but leave it and we could have it after the weekend (this was a Wednesday mind you). He told her it would be $30.00. To use a wrench, $30? Really? She left it, then I called him and picked it up the next day, I told him I would fight with the flat crescent wrench first. He told me over the phone that he would do it for $20, which was so very nice of him. I called Roys in Brooklyn, they told me they would do it in about 2 minutes and charge me $5. This guy only sells and deals with beach cruisers, he is a tourist bike shop, catering to people in emergencies (see other posts) and pushes cruiser bikes. Go to another shop where the people actually ride bikes, know all types of bikes, and are professional. This guy is just rude.

Doesn't look like much, and the service wasn't the snappiest. On the other hand, Johnny was knowledgeable, explained each step he was taking, and did a good job of getting me on my way. Only a couple bucks more than other places. I was happy.
