David was very knowledgeable and accommodating, the bikes are beautifully maintained and provided more than enough power for our journey from his shop to the monuments and back. Highly recommend and will be back again.

The Pedego shop in Bethesda is a warm, friendly place to purchase or rent an e-bike. The owner, David, and his staff (family!) were all knowledgeable without being condescending. They encouraged a test drive with a suggested route to try out the bike's various features. I am excited about my new e-bike and feel very confident! Thank you!

I purchased an e bike a month ago. I was excited and anxious before purchasing and looked at several brands including Trek, Pedego and REI. All three have local shops that offer sales and repair. I decided to go with pedego. They are the only shop that is exclusively e-bikes. The Trek shop referred to them as the e-bike guys. The pedego bikes are more expensive for similar specs but the details and support of the pedego bikes are unmatched. I decided to go with the Moto. It’s moped style with the long seat. It feels powerful (750w motor), can go up to 20mph without pedaling(Throttle feature) and 28mph with peddle assist (may require a software update). It has a headlight, brake light and blinkers. It’s controlled by a small but bright color lcd screen. It does not require an app. I have traveled from Silver spring to Bethesda and downtown DC on a single charge without issue. It’s rated at 70+ miles per charge, but that is when using the lowest level of pedal assist. The biggest difference between the brands is the warranty and service. Pedego offers an unmatched 5 year bike warranty and will replace the battery for free up to 3 years after the purchase. The local shop manager in Bethesda, MD (David) is friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable. Pros - Feels powerful - Class 3 (may require a software update) - Shocks and fat tires absorb bumps and potholes - Bright head and tail lights - Turn signal - Hours of riding on a single charge - Car stays in the garage most days - Resolves traffic, parking and ticket issues. - Bright intuitive Screen/controller w/passcode - USB-C connection for charging phone - 5 year warranty Cons - Seat could be a little softer(memory phone seat a releases this summer) - The bike and battery are heavy - A lot of work to get going without pedal assistance or throttling.

Store owner and staff were personable, well informed, patient and friendly. No sale pressure applied, and I learned a lot about the product. They stayed open late to allow my son and me to spend more time test driving and making inquiries. Will definitely return if I decide to pull the trigger and get an e bike.

We had a fantastic time riding with David on the Cherry Blossom tour! We rode the bike trail from Bethesda into Washington and Ross along the tidal basin to see a few of the monuments. A great way to spend an afternoon! It was the highlight of the trip!
