Great local bike shop. Good selection of brands and classes of bikes. The employees are knowledgeable, listen to what you're looking for, and make helpful suggestions. They have some good deals on previous year models. Test rides are a must if you're going to spend significant money, and there are decent trails nearby you can use for this.

The new location on Auburn Ave is finally open! If you are looking for a bike, need bike maintenance or just want to gain knowledge about different bike styles and brands, Terrapin Bicycles is your one stop shop! Kevin the owner is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to answer your questions clearly and thoroughly. This is a local business that takes pride in their work. We should be bringing them our business because they continue to prove they deserve our support. It's not just me saying this, look at their ratings/reviews. Bethesda is all about supporting local and Terrapin Bicycles is a perfect example of the type of locally owned business we want to see flourish!

Jacob helped me set up a new light and I was super impressed with his dedication to customer satisfaction. -1 star because last time I went there they didn't have the brakes/rotors that I needed (although they did help me figure out which ones to get). This is my new go-to bike shop.
