I needed to ship a bike from Ventura, CA to NY. Wasn't sure who to speak to to help me. Called a few shops and no-one returned my call. I called Shigy. He picked up the phone and was willing to help me at a fair price. He packed and shipped the bike same day it was dropped off and packed it better than anyone I have met before. Very helpful man and trustworthy! If I lived in Ventura, I would buy bikes from him and use his shop as my local one. Thanks Shigy!

shigys is absolutely awesome. The gentleman there is truly courteous and professional. He not only always has what I am looking for but explains every aspect of the product, it function, but, just how to use the product. I LOVE THIS LITTLE SHOP.👍👍👍👍👍

We are so lucky to have such a caring and passionate bike doctor in our neighborhood! We have brought countless bikes to Shigys over the years and he has fixed them all to perfection! He is truly passionate of his work and it shows in the end result. He has been able to help us in a pinch and rescue is when we’ve had flat tires on a ride! He has helped in a timely manner and always has excellent and friendly service! We are so grateful to have Shigy in our neighborhood! A true asset

So upset. I brought my bike in to get the inner tube of the tire fixed, which the owner said would be $8 for tire and $9 for labor. I also wanted my surf rack put on and he said he would charge $1/min. I assumed it would take about 10-15 minutes to put the rack on (I would've done it myself if I had the tools). On my return, he had billed me $82!!! He apparently took the liberty to fix other things on my bike, and when I said I couldn't pay that he said he would undo all of his work. How sad and thoughtless. Rather than working with me on the cost, he literally undid all of the work! Bad business if you ask me. In all honesty, he should have called to check with me if I wanted him to tune up everything.... I could have bought a brand new bike for what he was going to charge me. Will never return. PS: one block down from this shop is a place that charged $5/hr. Super cool community. Where you can actually use their tools and learn how to fix your bike yourself!

I brought my road bike that was in desperate need of a tune up. The chains were worn and cables were not calibrated correctly. Shigy was very helpful and friendly. My impression of Shigy is that he is very competent, knowledgeable, and honest. It sounds like he is the only technician, however that had no impact on his speedy service. My bike was done and like new in a couple of hours.
