We had a very great day riding the gravelbikes around San Francisco! The bikes were pretty good, the helmets were new (rentals! 😇😃) and chrissy was really friendly, helpef us a lot, gave top recommendations. The rentsl price was really high though.. 120$ is too much for a one day rental. Not even in Moab or around Lake Tahoe the prices were that high. We would come back - no matter what! Thank you

Great service! We rented a couple of mountain bikes to climb Tam and they helped us plan a route and pointed out some nearby parking. We went up "old railroad grade" and came down Eldridge from the East Peak, to Indian Fire Road, then down Blithedale Ridge back to the city. Parts of Eldridge and Indian were steep and rocky, but the bikes we rented handled the terrain incredibly well. Once you make it to Blithedale the trail is smooth and fast with some great rolling hills.

I want to like my local bike shop but I’ve now had multiple bad experiences with their service team. I needed my brakes and pads replaced and there was a 2 week wait … ok I understand they’re busy. So I asked to just purchase the parts (which I can get for less online) so that I could do the repair myself. I’d done pads before but not the rotors … so I asked how hard it was to do. It was clear that the service person didn’t like the idea that I’d do the repair myself and made it seem pretty challenging—it was not. Instead of understanding that I needed a quicker repair, selling me the parts and giving some guidance, they were kinda rude and discouraging. I’ve bought an expensive bike from this place so it just didn’t feel good (especially as a small business owner myself).

We had a great experience renting e mountain bikes from Tam Bikes. Everyone was very helpful, from choosing which bike to rent, explaining the features of the bike and picking a great route up Mt. Tam. Great location, too, near the trailhead. Thanks again!
