Nathan was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, helping us with everything we needed. We were visiting from out of town, and he even gave us great sightseeing recommendations. The shop has an impressive inventory covering all disciplines and skill levels, making it a great stop for any rider. Excellent service and great local insight—highly recommend!

I’ve been to UC Cyclery multiple times over the years to just grab some small stuff. A couple of months ago, I actually bought my first bike from them and it was an awesome experience. Trevor is extremely knowledgeable, very friendly and has a great sense of humor. He was super helpful in making my purchase a pleasant experience. I needed lots of parts swapped out and upgraded on the bike, because as I am nearly 50 years old, I am still trying to get that Pro Cycling Contract and I want to save every gram that I can. 🙄 Fernando / Francisco assembled and installed all the new parts perfectly and the bike was ready on the date it was promised. A few weeks later I went back and bought another bike. The sale price was too good to pass up and again, I needed some minor upgrades installed and they hooked it up for me again. Just an excellent experience. I’ve had a chance to speak with two of their mechanics (Rick and Eliseo) and they were both soooo nice and helpful, despite clearly being very busy. The two girls that are always there are also very nice, super cute, fun to chat with and very friendly. I’m now in the process of buying my third bike from UC Cyclery in just as many months and I’ve had a chance to speak and work with Dave the owner and he has been really great and beyond fair and reasonable. I would highly recommend checking out this shop if you are in the market for a new bike, need service on your current bike or just want to shave some grams off your bike! 😀

I recently took my used bike to UC Cyclery for a tune-up. Rick, the mechanic, was thorough in diagnosing the bike's condition. He explained everything clearly and honestly, suggesting a few necessary repairs. The entire process was efficient, and the bike was ready to pick up on the same day. I'm highly satisfied with the service and would recommend UC Cyclery to anyone looking to maintain their bike.

Popped in on a whim to find gear and was greeted by some of the most polite staff I've encountered out of all the bike shops I've been to in San diego. Will definitely be visiting again. Very welcoming for a beginner rider like myself.

Super friendly and knowledgeable staff that seem to be genuinely be passionate about bikes and spend the time to make sure you are getting gear that fits well. Moving to a different brand and geometry, Trevor has been awesome in working with me on size and fit, getting me on multiple test rides and making careful adjustments to make sure we get it right. Absolutely recommend.
