Kevin is one of the friendliest, well informed and genuinely engaging bike guys I’ve ever met. I’ve bought two bikes from him now and I’d recommend his shop to anyone! If you want to feel like your business is appreciated and that you’re getting truly personalized service, this is the place to go.

As much as the reviews here praise the owner, I still felt my initial interaction with him through email was a bit much regardless of his followups with good intentions. I asked about demoing a bike and shipping it afterwards (since I no longer live in Sac and still wanted to support a local shop once I came back to visit). I guess he might have misread but I'm not quite down to receive a long email about why shipping a bike to demo isn't ideal when he could have asked if my intention was to demo a bike after he shipped it (and before I officially bought or something w/e in that email). Kind of strange to jump the gun there honestly. I legit was down to buy the bike just wanted to make sure it was available to demo and if they were down to ship it once bought. However, his followup on the bad assumption was to try to find an intermediate to amend potential conflict was good. Just thought the first email was a really bad taste.

Always wondered what the difference was between a shop and a boutique. In Velo Veritas is a true cycling boutique. Kevin is knowledgeable and passionate about the sport. Had an espresso, while watching Tour Down Under ‘23, live on the projector screen. I wanted to stay there all day!

Kevin has taken amazing care of me and my bikes. I stopped in right after he opened to check out the shop, and I knew I found my new shop home. Since then, Kevin has provided masterful service on multiple bikes for me. He listens to you and learns your priorities and provides rock solid advice. Additionally, he has sourced the specific shoes I wanted, parts I needed, and he got them quickly. Long story short, I am so glad to have a real bike shop back in Sacramento and an owner/operator who understands customer service.
