This is not your ordinary bike shop. If you are looking for a shiny "Wheel & Sprocket (WS)" experience, you will not get it here. If you want a down to earth, honest, bicycle loving experience, then this place might be for you. It all depends on how you set your expectations (like most things in life). I took a relatives bike in for a repair estimate. I had previously been to WS, where they didn't really want to repair the bike (were anxious to show me all the new models). When I took the bike, here they were eager to fix the bike, with only the necessary parts, and salvaging all the parts that they could. They ended up charging less than half of the cost that WS had quoted. And they had it fixed in 3 days! The people at Patio Bike appear to love bikes, and maybe more than people. What I mean by that is that they did an amazing job with bike repair (I don't know about Sales), but their customer service skills may not be what you'd expect. They are not great as schmoozing. And some of their processes might seem antiquated (claim checks, credit card processing, etc). I would not hesitate to go back for a repair, and I might buy the next bike from here. It's always good when you can find a way to support a local/independent business. Good luck!

They were fast, skilled and educated. I needed a repair and advice. I'm fairly new to bike maintenance but they helped me tremendously. My bike is riding better than ever after they worked on my rear wheel. They gave me a lot of helpful tips and information about maintaining it. Their prices were fair and affordable.

Extremely happy customer! I’m a big man and had to get an odd part for a plus-size bike. They had it in stock and for less than Amazon. On another bike they fixed a flat, but rather than replacing with the stock tube they asked me some questions and recommended a beefier tube. Totally glad they did. Also I had shoddy shifter work done at Erik’s that never worked quite right. Turns out it was broken. The folks at Patio took a look, asked a few questions, and instead of replacing the stock part recommended heavier parts. Again, they had my unusual parts in stock and had it working better than new much sooner than promised for less than their estimate. AND they tightened up some other things I didn’t ask them to and bike is working better than new. The place isn’t fancy but these folks know what they’re doing. Extremely happy they took the time to ask me questions and worth every penny in my book.

Very nice people, gave me a huge discount when I bought my bike cause I helped pick up trash around the area for fun. Really like the people who work there, and please to also help me out to keep your trash to yourself.

Vintage bikes galore. And not beat up, old used bikes these are [new old stock]. The only issue is the asking prices are way too high. A 40 year old road bike shouldn't cost $4k, I don't care how new it is.
