I brought my bike there to get a flat fixed and the owner said he wanted nothing to do with my bike because I didn't have my original nuts. Although I told him that I put the nuts on, he claimed it looked stripped. Meanwhile I would of payed extra plus tip but this guy wanted nothing to do with my money. It was so embarrassing but I guess everyone is not a people's person. Landry's bikes in Braintree fixed it in 30min.

Got into cycling the past year or so and have been eyeing a true road bike outside of the hybrid I own. Was greeted as soon as I walked in and I started checking things out. Was asked if needed help and explained my interest in road bikes. I was led to the downstairs sales floor which was a room full of everything I had been researching for months. Worked with Rick who made me feel like I was their only customer all day. Answered every single question I had, gave me great insight and advice on many different topics. Felt like I had known him for years in a matter of minutes. Truly, I had not planned on buying a bike that day but I decided if I was going to, it was going to be from Rick, at this bike shop. We worked a deal as it was a big expense but worth it from my research and the owner who helped seal the deal was very friendly and generous. I also picked up a helmet but had sold out of my size, so they ordered me one! In this world of impersonal shopping and online merchants, it was nice to shake hands on a deal with folks who seem to care about those who support their business. This is one of those places. The service really sold the bike and though I had planned on it one day, it was definitely an impulse that day. Highly recommend stopping in and taking a tour. Plenty of bike accessories, shoes, helmets, and of course bikes of every type. Thanks again Rick, Jim and the others who made it a great experience

Terrible bike shop. I brought my bike in for a tune-up and since then have had my front brake literally fall off my handle bar, the stem was loose and my front tire was not connected to my handle bars, and the positioning of my gear and brake wires is all over the place. Worst service I’ve ever had. Go somewhere else.

My bike was toward the end of its life. Instead of telling me to throw it in the trash and buy a new one, Mark the head mechanic worked with me to make the most of my bike, which still had a good frame, good brakes, and good wheels. He replaced the shifters, the crank, the chain, and the cassette. Now it goes to 11. I'm thrilled with my bike as it rides like new. His work routing the cables is a thing of beauty. I used to ride a ton and in the past did events like the Mt. Washington Hill Climb, the B2B, Pan Mass, Ride for the Roses, and the Tour de France Challenge. I don't know all of the recent technology that goes into bikes but have a good understanding of the fundamentals. For about one third the cost of a new bike, Mark did a great job making my old bike as good as new. I'm grateful for his attention to detail and craftsmanship. Ultregra 11 speed is sublime.

I brought my bike tire in to fix a tubeless valve. They suggested I take the tire off and just bring the tire, not the whole bike, to make it easier. I had never taken the tire off this bike, with disc brakes, but was assured it was easy and they even gave me a little plastic piece to put into the break mechanism when the tire came out, which I did. When I put the tire back on, the brake didn't work. I figured I did something wrong and I took it back in, thinking they'd fix it quickly on the spot. Instead they told me there was no connection to removing the tire and the brake not working, that the brake must have been defective prior. Three guys looked at it and all agreed there was no connection, that the brake was broken and they'd be happy to give me an "estimate" for how much it would cost to fix it. I walked out and took it directly to REI, where they fixed it on the spot, no charge. It was exactly as I figured, they told me the brake somehow got "jammed" when I reinstalled the tire, and it literally took him 5 minutes to figure it out. I wanted to like The Bicycle Link, I really did, but that's the last they'll see of me.
