Customer reviews for ERIK'S - Bike Board Ski present a mixed picture. One customer had a disappointing experience with the bike assembly service. They purchased a Specialized bike online and paid $350 for assembly at ERIK'S. However, they reported a lack of assistance during pickup and felt the customer service was unprofessional, especially for a Specialized dealer. They were told their experience was negatively impacted because they didn't purchase the bike in store. Due to this experience, they stated they would not return.

In contrast, another customer had an amazing experience purchasing a snowboard, thanks to an employee named Chris. They praised Chris's friendly and knowledgeable assistance, highlighting his patience and expertise in helping their daughter select the perfect snowboard. They left the store feeling satisfied and excited for the snowboarding season, highly recommending Chris and ERIK'S for their exceptional service.

These reviews suggest that customer experiences at ERIK'S - Bike Board Ski can vary significantly. While some customers have had positive experiences, particularly with snowboard purchases and Chris's assistance, others have reported negative experiences with bike services. It appears the shop's customer service may be inconsistent.

I purchased a bike from the Specialized website and brought it to Erik’s for assembly, which cost me $350. While the assembly was completed, the overall experience was disappointing. When I arrived to pick up the bike, no one was available to assist with loading it or to provide any guidance on its features. The level of customer service was unprofessional and insufficient, particularly for a Specialized dealer. When I expressed my frustration, an employee dismissed my concerns, stating that it was because I hadn’t purchased the bike directly from their store. Given this experience, I will not be returning.

My daughter and I had an amazing experience at Erik's thanks to one of the employees who went above and beyond to help my daughter pick out the perfect snowboard for Christmas. From the moment we walked in, Chris was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. He took the time to understand my daughter’s skill level, style preferences, and needs, offering thoughtful recommendations. Chris also made sure to explain the differences between boards, helping us find one that was the right fit. His expertise and patience made the whole experience stress-free and enjoyable. We left with zero cognitive dissonance and super excited for the upcoming season. Highly recommend Erik's and Chris for their exceptional service!

I took my snowboard boats in for a fitting. I called before and was quoted $40. The service tech working that day clearly didnt want to be bothered with my fitting and charged $50. I questioned it and and he just shrugged his shoulders and said fifty bucks. Very unfriendly, and unpleasant experience.

We spent a lot of time with Felisha at this location. We were able to test out two e-bikes. Everyone in there was great, very patient and knowledgeable. No pressure sales at all. In fact we went out to dinner and talked about it, after taking up their time. On our way out to pull the trigger on the two bikes this morning, we had a little mishap. This will delay our purchase and we’re both super bummed. But as soon as the accident dust settles, we’re coming right back! I can’t say enough about Felisha and the whole experience up until our unfortunate circumstance. I sincerely regret that we can’t swing it until we see what’s up with the car. I owe them at least this review. Pop in there if you’re considering a bike. Their prices are as good or better in some instances as anywhere online. The service has already surpassed my expectations.

Unfortunately had a mixed bag of experiences trying to buy ski equipment for the first time at Erik’s over the past few weeks. Originally went in to the Bayshore location where I told the employee I was an intermediate skier who was an absolute beginner when it came to buying equipment and was given outstanding customer service. I had my foot measured, tried on a few pairs of boots, and was given several options of skis that would fit my needs. The very knowledgeable employee took a lot of time to understand what equipment would best suit me and I knew what pair of boots I wanted when I left that day. After looking into the recommendations made, I went into the Grafton location to find out if the boots I wanted would suit a pair of skis on sale I noticed online. I was told the skis would be suitable for me and compatible with the boots. I was then recommended bindings and set to go through with ordering the package to the store where everything would be set up for me. My order came in and they set my skis up in less than 24 hours - amazing turnaround! When I went to pick everything up, I was told there was a 7 day exchange policy -if I got out to ski and something wasn’t right I would be able to come in to get things sorted out- a huge relief to someone buying ski equipment for the first time. This was where the good experience ended. I got on the mountain and quickly realized that although the boots felt snug in the store, they were too big once I was actually skiing. I went back in asap so I could make it in time for the 7 day window. When I told the employee that my boots were too big- had heel lift and lacked control, they recommended I buy a thick pair of socks or insole and keep working on breaking in the boots. I remembered another employee mentioning that my boots could be heated up to mold them to my feet and asked if that was an option, to which I was told no as my ankle had begun making an impression in the liner. I trusted the recommendation would solve the issue so I bought the socks, and went back to try again. Even with the socks I was running into the same problem- my boots were too big. I went in and asked to get a size down as they just weren’t working. At this point I was informed that because of the skis and bindings I had bought, a smaller boot would likely make my skis unusable as remounting the bindings would cause the boots to be off center and potentially compromise the hold of the bindings. This felt like a punch in the gut because had I known this, I would have searched for another option. I was also told that because of the condition my boots were in, they were not returnable. Another gut punch, because had I not listened to the employee’s advice, I wouldn’t have gone out again and worn them to the point of no longer being returnable. When asked what they would do if they were in my situation, I was once again recommended insoles. Desperate to make this work, I purchased the insoles in my size to pickup at another location. Put the new insoles in my boots and still have boots that are too big. I looked online to call Erik’s customer service line for recommendations where I was told to bring my boots to a store to heat them up. When I explained that an employee told me that wasn’t an option, i was told to exchange the boots for a smaller size. When I explained that would make my skis unusable, I was told to bring the boots back to the store to help me get the right fit and was hung up on. All this to say, if you are knowledgeable in what you’re looking for, Erik’s might be a great option for you, as they have a pretty wide range of gear with pretty fair prices and fast service. However, if you are a first time buyer, I would not recommend shopping here because if you run into any problems, you’re unlikely to get the help you need. I’m now out almost $800 for skis/boots that are pretty unusable and will be hard to resell. It’s hard not to feel taken advantage of as a woman who was transparent about not having a ton of knowledge about ski equipment.
