The Flat Tire Bike Shop is the best! Recently I purchased a mountain bike. John provided so much help and useful advice. He was so patient as I had so many questions. He was really concerned that I find a bicycle that would be suited to my particular needs and I would be happy with riding with confidence and joy. When I eventually purchased a bicycle and sent it to Flat Tire Bike Shop to be put together Kaolin, the owner, spent a considerable amount of time fitting the bicycle for me. I have had bicycles all my life and thought I knew a lot. Kaolin, taught me so much about this bicycle and proper maintenance. I so enjoy riding this bicycle and am so grateful for their advice and expertise. I will only deal with the Flat Tire Bike Shop for all things related to bikes as I appreciate their integrity, expertise and love for bicycles.

We’ve been patronizing Flat Tire Bike store for about 8 years and have always had exemplary service in every instance. Our mountain bikes are routinely tuned up or repaired there. They only fix what is necessary, often giving you options about the repair. The bikes are given a thorough cleaning with every repair which we are grateful for since we don’t always take care of that ourselves. Recently I bought a new bike there (they deal with Giant & Liv). John gave me detailed advice and helped me select a model. Kaolin did a fitting which has made a huge difference in my riding experience. Thanks to both of you for your continued excellent service, and all the time you spent with me. The new Liv bike is amazing.

These guys (and Kaolin specifically) saved my BWR weekend. I had a crash the day before the race that damaged both my wheels, and he “rented” me a set and got all the work done to switch things over. Not only did he absolutely rescue me from a bad situation, but he did it for an extremely fair price. He could have easily charged me more considering I was pretty desperate, but he didn’t want to take advantage of me. Good person, good shop, great experience.

Super helpful! Brought in my used Surly I bought off of FB Marketplace and was able to have John give me a quick overview and do some quick tweaks to it to make sure I was good to go. He also told me some things to be aware of and what needed attention in the near future on it. Very welcoming shop and highly recommend. Will definitely be back whenever I'm in Cave Creek.

Was in town to race BWR and had some issues with the tubeless setup on my gravel bike. These folks were super helpful and instantly addressed the issue without trying to sell me on any riff-raff. As a bike shop mechanic myself I really appreciated the mechanics thorough diagnosis and troubleshooting of my issue. Would highly recommend stopping by here 🤙
