Been to the shop a few times for tires ect and this last time after taking a quick look at my bike I was invited to a workshop on working on bikes so I could take care of smaller things myself. Love the community work space, the friendly staff and of course all the bikes and quality work done. 10/10 love that they care about the community. Thanks for being my local! Can't wait to take my first big ride on my new bike with certainty it's good to ride.

Having bought 2 bikes from there, one custom done beautifully by a person named Valerie, a couple years ago, and a specialized common bike, it was an interesting experience. The owner was indifferent to me, after dropping 1400$ plus when I asked more about the custom bike his response was ‘well, look at it I guess!’. It’s like whoa man, why so hostile but then you read the reviews and you understand that they don’t treat their employees well. I had good service albeit the folks who helped me were disorganized and had to double check and triple check with one another to make sure things were lining up with a particular issue with my tire. I called recently for a tune up and the wait list was ridiculous. Try another shop, I’d recommend that. The staff turn around here is far too often, that is probably a result of the owners indifference and rudeness. The employees who helped me I felt did their absolute best though- again had to triple check each others work. If this place were more cohesive and expedient it would have the possibility of a great bike shop.

These folks are awesome! They took their time helping me find a refurbished bike that fit for winter riding and let me test-ride many different options. Genuine love of bikes (and sci-fi and music too) with zero condescension. Highly recommended!

I have come here for really basic stuff. Flat tire repair for my 20x4 ebike. Had my disc brakes done on my ebike recently. I did not have a problem or concerns with this place - until now. This mechanic forgot to put the pin through the back brakes, and bend the one pin in the front. On my way to work, the back brakes completely fell off, leaving me with no back brakes. Thankfully the front pin didn't fall out from the rattling by the ride. On my way home I had to tape the front brake pin. I survived the ride home with just front brakes. When I brought it in. One girl seemed concerned about it. Apologized for the mistake, and said this has never happened before. They sell ebike disc brakes. I couldn't believe that this guy forgot to do these checks, and no one checked his work. Most of the people working here are in their 20s. Low experience it seems when it comes to complicated projects. The brakes they had to use from their shop (to replace the ones I bought and fell off) currently squeek. The front ones don't as much. Their disc 💿 brakes seem to be poor quality. They offered me $30 off my $100 brake job, they did less then half of. Which was the amount to have them do it before everyone else. The manager or owner did not come out to apologize. They just hid in the office. Really disappointed.

Recovery bike is amazing! I recently started biking again, but since the last time I rode was as a child I felt pretty nervous about the experience. The owners were amazing! They helped me with all my questions and showed me how to do an inspection prior to riding. They also took me out and rode with me. I was super intimidated to ride on city streets but they were so great during the ride. Thanks so much Recovery Bike Shop, I’ll definitely be back.
